Windmills

Windmills played a significant role in the Netherland’s past. There are some still standing around Amsterdam city that are worth seeing. The De Gooyer Windmill, a former flour mill, is the tallest wooden windmill in the Netherlands. De Riekermolen dates back to 1636 and is perfectly picturesque by the water. Visiting a windmill is another must do activity in beautiful Amsterdam.
